A village boy collects edible seeds from indigenous trees. BURKINA FASO.

This particular wild fruit is a favorite with the children as it is sweet and dissolves in the mouth. During the dry season young boys quickly locate the trees bearing the fruit, and long bamboo poles are used to detach the pods from the branches. The fruit is then shared among all the helpers.
