Burkinabe women pound sorghum in the shade of a baobab tree. BURKINA FASO.

In this region of Africa baobab trees have numerous uses. Apart from providing an edible fruit and a fibrous bark from which rope can be made, the tree is often the chosen location where traditional healers preform ceremonies and sacrificial rituals.
