A sandstorm approaches the town of Nyala in Darfur. SUDAN.
During the ‘haboob’ season which starts around May gigantic clouds of sand roll over the desert enveloping everything in their path. I found the contrast between the menace of the rapidly approaching storm and the two men who casually walked by without showing any concern for what was bearing down on them symbolic of how people in this region get on with their lives no matter what the odds.
